Whats the bail amount for the most common crimes?
In most cases:
Class B misdemeanor: $250
Class A misdemeanor: $500 (except DUI which is $1000).
Felonies have no set bail schedule but are usually decided on a case by case basis.
Any of these can be changed based on flight risk, severity of crime, and protection of victims/public.
Because a bail bondsman has custody over a defendant, they have the authority to arrest a defendant anytime before the forfeiture goes into affect. The arrest authority law states that a bail bondsman must deliver a copy of the bond, and then a warrant is to be ordered issuing the defendant to a jail or detention center.
